Abstract

The interlinked crises of climate change and geopolitical instability necessitate urgent action and innovative solutions. The 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29), held in 2023, provided a vital platform for discussing the integral relationship between climate action and peacebuilding. This article delves into key COP29 outcomes and their implications for sustainable development, proposing a comprehensive framework that integrates climate resilience into peace initiatives. Through diverse case studies, it highlights effective practices at local, national, and international scales, examines evolving policies aimed at promoting peace through environmental stewardship, and underscores the role of youth in driving these efforts. Together, these insights chart a path toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) while fostering a sustainable and peaceful future.
